Hospitality at Gerrards Cross
Our new Convent and Retreat House at Gerrards Cross is scheduled to open to Guests on the 5th of June 2018. Before then, renovations will take place to make the buildings more environmentally sustainable. When these are complete, we look forward to welcoming groups and individuals and, as we have done at St. Michael's Convent, Ham, we hope to offer:
- space to breathe, to sleep, to rest
- shared times of silence
- silent prayer
- joining the Community for worship & liturgy
- meals together, both silent and talking
- browsing in our library
- enjoying our garden and walking in the countryside
- fellowship with afternoon tea
The town of Gerrards Cross is nestled among the Chiltern Hills of Buckinghamshire, just beyond the western perimeter of Greater London. Walking distance from the train station to the house is about 15 mins, and the journey between Gerrards Cross and Marylebone is about 20 minutes. There is easy access to/from Heathrow (A40/740 from the Central Bus Station), Oxford, Stratford upon Avon, Birmingham and Kidderminster. Gerrards Cross is also very well connected by road (M25, M40).
